Todd Hartley’s World is the official website of Todd Hartley, a columnist, blogger, freelance writer, standup comedian, graphic designer and bartender from Basalt, Colorado. Though he grew up on the mean streets of Greenwich, Connecticut, Todd always knew he wanted to be a ski bum. He enrolled at Colorado College in 1988, graduating four years later with a degree in English, and has lived in Colorado ever since. He spent 12 years in Aspen as a ski instructor, one-time sponsored extreme skier and newspaper reporter, columnist, proofreader and production manager before getting married in 2005 and moving to the next town down the valley. Nowadays he lives in Basalt with his wife, the writer and editor Cindy Hirschfeld, his two-year-old son Griffin, a 16-year-old golden retriever named Clover, a 3-year-old mutt named Tansy and a cat named Blue.
Todd’s first column, “Cheap Shots,” ran in the sports section of The Aspen Times every week from 1998-2004. His current column, “I’m With Stupid,” runs every Friday in The Aspen Times and won a 2008 Colorado Press Association award for Best Humor Column. Todd also has a blog on Aspen.com and will soon be writing for The Huffington Post Denver edition.
You are balder than I.
That may be, but you still have a pathetic bird chest, Mr. Wingedfoot. Also, I thought it was Witchdoctor Sukiyaki Freedom.
